Premièrement, il faut savoir que Win9x ne gère que les partitions FAT16 et FAT32, par contre les WinNT (NT4, 2000, XP, Vista) gèrent les systèmes FAT16, FAT32 et NTFS. Pour faire un dual boot donc, la partition principale doit être en FAT32 (la taille de la FAT16 est limitée à 2Go). Pour faire toutes ces opérations, mettre votre disque dur en disque secondaire d’une autre machine ou si vous n’en avez pas, partitionnez votre système à l’aide d’un CD d’installation de WinXP. C’est plus facile que d’utiliser l’outil FDISK du DOS.
Nous allons supposer que vous avez déjà fini les partitionnements et que nous allons attaquer le formatage et l’installation de Windows 98.
A:\>Format C :
Il est inutile de mettre l’option /s après C :
Supposons que E : est votre lecteur de CD-ROM
A:\>C : C:\>MD Win98 C:\>CD Win98 C:\Win98>Copy E:\Win98 C:\Win98
C:\Win98>install
Sous Windows 98, insérer le CD d’installation de Windows XP. Si jamais le menu ne s’affiche pas, double-cliquez sur le CD de XP. Ttoujours cliquez sur suivant mais quand le système vous demande de choisir entre un mise à niveau ou une nouvelle installation, optez pour la nouvelle installation et continuez votre installation tranquillement. Choisissez une partition différente de celle de Windows 98, c'est-à-dire, une autre partition que C: Finissez l’installation et installez les pilotes. Vous devez avoir un menu de choix de système d’exploitation à chaque démarrage du système. |
