Create a custom shortcut to a file or an application

This trick shows you how to create a custom shortcut to a file or an application. That way, whenever you want to run the application, simply press the key combination and the application launches automatically.

To do this,

1. Click the right button mouse on a file or sortcut or even on the application.
2. A context menu opens and then click on properties.
   
3. A new window opens, click in the "Shortcut key"
   
4. Press the buttons that you want to assign to the new shortcut. Note that the keys should be a combination of CTRL + ALT and another character.
5. Press OK.
