Reaching the file pointed to by a shortcut

This trick can directly open the folder containing the program pointed to by a shortcut.

Typically, shortcuts have a small icon of an arrow pointing shortcuts as shown on the image.

To know where the file pointed to by the link is, you  must
  1. Click on the file with right button mouse.
  2. Select Property
  3. Click on "Find Target"

Rechercher la cible du lien

And the directory containing the file "Adobe Media Player.exe" opens like magic.
